Hong Kong raiders to venture in the international platform

Hong Kong raiders to venture in the international platform

A number of Hong Kong based raiders have found it hard to make it to the international arena. However, good news will be at their feet as the Hong Kong Jockey Club claimed that it was given mandate by the International Association of Jockey to initiate their 17 domestic races which was mainly meant for Hong Kong based horses to the international level. This compliment will be functional from the 2016/2017 season. This will be a massive step for the raiders based in Hong Kong as well as the entire Hong Kong Jockey fraternity as they will now have a total of 31 international raiders.

As it stands, there are a total of 14 races based in Hong Kong that have the eligibility of venturing in the international competition. Among these, 11 of them are at Group 1 level. The new rules have clearly indicated that all Group races are eligible to international racing. It doesn’t matter where a horse is born, trained or is owned by who. There were also some restrictions of rating bands that was initiated by the 14 newly opened races but were abolished following the new update.

The Executive Director of Racing Business and Operations Tony Kelly claimed that it was a huge step taken by the Hong Kong Jockey Club for the globalization as well as development of the Hong Kong racing. This portrayed the willingness of the Club to take the racing in another dimension of international level. This made the Asian Pattern Committee very pleased when they met earlier in the week at the Asian Racing Conference in Mumbai, India.

He continued to say that this is a unique logical move for Hong Kong which will concur with the new advancement in direction and consistency that the Club has incorporated over time. There has been a long existence in the LONGINESS World’s Best Racehorse Rankings and this has seen an outstanding growth in the World’s Top 100 Group 1 Races to the Hong Kong raiders.

However, this international exposure will not be awarded to the four year olds as BMW Hong Kong Derby, Hong Kong Classic Cup and Hong Kong Classic Mile will involve participants based in Hong Kong.

The greyhound killing threats and how to eliminate them

The greyhound killing threats and how to eliminate them

Aging in greyhounds and horses can be fatal to the animals as their owners have no use to them. This mainly results in ending the lives of these animals that have their career coming to an end. Reports have indicated that over 15,000 dogs are killed each year when their career expires.

Animal wastage has been the prime welfare to all racing in the globe. There are however a number of greyhound owners and trainers who are conversant with the animal welfare. The killing of these animals has subdued in Australia as the NSW parliament select committee submitted a report that the killing claims conducted in three years up to 2012-2013 had gone down to 0.4%. There are a number of ways to reduce killing of greyhounds.

Restructuring races is one of these ways. Apparently, Australia can be in a position of re-homing about 2,000 greyhounds every year. This can be achieved from the 2014-2015 stats that showed that 834 adoptions were made.

Each year one out of four greyhounds retires. There are over 55,000 of these greyhounds in Australia. Rather than killing that one retiring dog, it could be more advisable to adopt it to families who like pet dogs. Generally, dogs can race for almost four years in their lifetime. This comes as the greyhounds need not be ridden, whipped or even made to jump obstacles in a race. They basically follow a straight line chasing a synthetic lure that is operated mechanically.

Back in 2009, the GRNSW took over the adoption role which saw more than 100 greyhounds adopted each year. This rose to several hundred as years went by. If at all the wasting of greyhounds is to be completely eliminated, the banning of these events must be eradicated for good. This will be the case incorporated by 39 states in the U.S.

The variation based on corporate model will involve the owners and trainers having their own breeding mechanism that would oversee the grey hounds take to the races three or four times in a year. This would eradicate the threats of career end threats and in turn would be fundamental in the elimination of wasting greyhounds.

For most firms to start off their business, the main idea will involve applying for operational license. There is a number of betting authorities that awards these licenses but they usually differ from country to another. The main different involves various taxation rates, rules under which to comply to and mostly the amount of cash that can be used to acquire such a license. Many firms have considered Malta as well as Gibraltar licenses for they are easier to acquire for little amount. Nonetheless, these licenses have their own jurisdictions such that they can’t operate in all European nations.

UK has been known for its stern restrictions in operational license acquisition. However, many consider these licenses from UK’s Gambling Authority far much better from other authorities. This comes despite having strict acts that should always be followed. This could be the main reason which prompted the Magnet Gaming firm to seek the Remote Gambling Software Operating License from the UK Gambling Commission.

This firm which has its roots in Denmark joined the league of a number of companies who supply their products abroad and must have the ultimate license for their work. These firms have to act in accordance with the 2014 Gambling (Licensing and Advertising) Act if at all they desire to have smooth business functioning.

Magnet’s Head of Game Licensing, Thomas Nielsen claimed that for his firm to have the advantage of the new markets abroad, this license must have come into play. This comes as a result of the fact that the UK market has established itself as the superior and productive market across the globe. This in turn brings in its high standards and this was fundamental for Magnet Gaming to seek the operational license.

He continued to add that this will be a huge step for the firm which aims in bringing the best games to their British clients which will be accompanied by amazing retention rates for the maximization of incomes.

This comes before next week’s ICE Total Gaming where Magnet Gaming will be on stand N6-210 as it showcases its existing and new games including Vikings, Candy Kingdom and Space Gems.
