Kevin Dorsey Might Skip This Seasons Basketball Due to a Sexual Post on his Social Media Account

We all have that one thing that might make us lose our jobs once our employers see our social media posts. You never know who is reading your posts, be careful what you post on social media. You never know this might be the post that ruins your entire career.

As for Kevin Dorsey, a freshman guard of Gophers, his social media site had a sex act on Friday night. Dorsey alongside Nat Mason and Dupree McBrayer allegedly violated team rules and were held out of Sunday’s game, said a statement from the University of Minnesota.

His entire twitter account and the video as well has since been deleted. However Minneapolis police said they are not involved in any criminal investigation whatsoever. Chris Werle, the associate athletic director at the university said that they have seen some of the things on social media and that they are looking into it. He further said that there was not any reports or complaints against the school.

Gophers lost 84-71 and their coach, Richard, did not comment further on the reason for this loss. Seeing that the three player were cut off just an hour before the Sunday’s game. Pitino avoided addressing the suspension on his weekly radio show on 1500-am but he had this to say, “When you suspend three guys, that is the talk of everything”.

People who reportedly saw the video included, several users of gopherhole.com and a KSTP-TV sports reporter, Darren Wolfson. Ever since Pitino took over in April 2013, there have been series of player-related troubles. This raises a lot of questions on his credibility.

Zach Lofton was dismissed last season for failure to meet the team’s obligations last season. A month or so later, Daquein McNeil was arrested on allegations of assaulting his girlfriend. Carlos Morris was also dismissed earlier February for detrimental conduct and Dorsey had been suspended on November for failure to meet his academic obligation.

The team however seemed to be turning a corner on Sunday’s game, hopefully to turn around the bad 14 game losing record.

Pitch has Been Vandalized by Unknown Person(s), $5000 Reward Offered!

Pitch has Been Vandalized by Unknown Person(s), $5000 Reward Offered!

Skinner Reserve’s pitch in sunshine was vandalised just before the match between Kingsville Baptist Cricket Club and Sunshine Heights. Kingsville would have qualified for the finals had they won this match. Although we might all be suspecting Sunshine Heights to have been the accused, they are so much in the clear since they are next to last in the ranking and hence they had nothing to gain from for the vandalism act.

Since there was no match the game was declared a draw and Kingsville lost their chance to be among the top four who are proceeding to the finals. They only needed 140 runs with nine wickets to in the match that did not happen to get to the finals.

Authorities have issued a reward of $5,000 for any information on the perpetrators who caused the ruthless act.

The pitch was destroyed beyond recognition, some say it reminded them of a ploughed field. The covers were drawn back, some section of the field was also dug up and oily substance spread across the surface of the whole pitch.

If another club is found to have any involvement in the vandalism or any knowledge of this act prior to its occurrence, they will face starkconsequences, was what McNamara said in a statement.

He also apologised to Kingsville Baptists CC for the dreadful act. He went ahead and said that that was not the case they were familiarised to at the great game of cricket and that anyone who came forward would be helping the cricket community to catch the people accountable for the act.

Peter Hardeman, Kingsville club treasurer said that it was clearly an act of sabotage. He told Tripple M that the person who did this act knew what they were doing because they pulled the covers off. This was an act by someone who knew the covers were there.

China Spends Over $300 Million on Foreign Players.

China Spends Over $300 Million on Foreign Players.

The football scene has been known to boast of spending the most on the purchase of new football players. Currently the whole world in general is focused on electing the next FIFA president while China is focused on buying the most expensive players for this season. So far it has spent over $300 million on foreign players.

The only players that China could not lay their hands on are the ones in the most expensive teams and those who are in newly signed contracts. Apparently it is rumored that they are spending on players to please the president Xi Jinping.

In the most recent January- February transfer window of 2016, China’s league clubs have spent $366 million. The fee paid for these transfers by China is exceeding that of the English premier league teams by more than $100 million and has quadrupled China’s last year transfer budget.

This spending is also more than the spending of other leagues combined like Italy, Germany, France and Spain. China has really decided to shock us all by going on this new expensive shopping spree. These were the analysis according to Transmarkt.

This is now known as the ‘gold rush’ where most of the world’s top players are rushing to. The most celebrated top players, Ramires-formerly of Chelsea, Jackson Martinez- formerly of Atletico Madrid and Alex Teixeira- formerly of Brazil were the players that cost China the most for them to win their bids.

These players are only rushing to play for China because they will have double the money they were earning yet it is damaging for their career because they will not have stiff competition on the pitch as they did before. Others like Teixeira are being paid about $10 million annually by China yet they never even made it to big teams and games like the English premier league.

European club owners have reason to be concerned because China has the ability to move a whole European league to China. Arsene Wenger, Arsenal’s manager said that if China’s intentions were political in their move to buy these players then there was reason to be concerned.

In a recent survey conducted on soccer fans from all over the world, 64% of respondents want the number of women in key positions increased.

The Anti-corruption organization transparency international, together with the fan group Forza Football conducted a poll in 28 countries, where they surveyed around 25,000 soccer fans.

Most of the respondents in the 28 countries except Russia, believed that FIFA should have more women.

Some of the countries that registered the highest percentage of respondents in favor of the idea include Costa Rica with 83%, Colombia with78%, and Spain with 76%.

Coincidentally, Costa Rica and Spain made their first appearance at the Women’s World cup in 2015 while it was the second consecutive appearance of Colombia into the tournament.

On the other hand, 69% of British and 72% Americans support the idea of adding more women to FIFA’s voting congress that consists of delegates from FIFA’s209 member associations

An increase in the number of women in FIFA’s Executive committee will be voted on by the members on Friday as it is on the broad package of reforms.

Moya Dodd, who is an Australian and one of the few women on the committee came up with a provision that would require women to hold 6 of the 36 executive committee seats.

Dodd said, “This is an unexploited marketfor the world’s most popular game, where half of the world’s population have not really been given a full opportunity to participate. Hence adding more women will be a great step forward and will alsoenhance culture change. “
