Northern Michigan Golf Challenge

Playing Golf in Northern Michigan is one of the most fascinating experiences that one will ever experience. The golf course is made up of perfect golfing ground and it is possible to play while watching the sunset and also sit on sand dunes. The golfing resort is operated by Maclnnes family and it began at the Crystal Mountain Resort. The resort has a variety of facilities such as a fitness center, a pool, a water playground, climbing wall, chairlift and an alpine slide. The resort has a number of accommodation options.  Jim Maclnnes commented that the resort offers exciting varieties for all kinds of people. The Bestie Valley and Mountain Ridge are among the two 18-hole courses.

There is also the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa with three golf courses including The Bear, Spruce Run and the Wolverine. According to the General Manager of Grand Transverse, Tim Norman, the resort offers splendid activities and amenities to all its visitors. The service amenities available in the resort and other areas surrounding it include golf, spas, shopping and various other activities. Visitors will also get to enjoy the brew pubs, fishing, unique dining, boating, bicycling, and kayaking and area wineries. The resort spa is another amazing amenity, and according to the spa manager, Dawn Olsen, guests should not be intimidated by the spa.

The Aerie Restaurant and Lounge which is found on the 16th floor of the tower offers dinner to guests and it is a perfect place to watch the Northern Michigan sunset. Guests can also rest on the on-site Beach Club. Gamblers can enjoy various games from the Turtle Creek Casino. The Boathouse restaurant is owned by Doug Kosch who ensures that guests enjoy every minute they spend having their meals there. Another exciting amenity is the Bowers Harbor Vineyards and co-owner Rich Schmitt’s Stormcloud Brewery that is located in Frankfort that is found two blocks from Lake Michigan. The beer is represented by Rainmaker Ale who is a bronze-medal winner in the Great American Beer festival.

Another exciting factor of the Northern Michigan resort is the Transverse City Film Festival that was developed by Michael Moore who is the Academy Award-winning director. The festival will run from July 26th to July 31st this year.
