Latvia’s Lottery and Gambling Supervision Agency (IAUI) has reviewed various services. The European sports betting operator, Betsson which is listed among Stockholm has received recognition to offer online gambling services through the Triobet brand. The final decision offered by IAUI will oversee Betsson’s online resources taken away from Latvia’s online betting blacklist. The IAUI has stated that they would want to put more focus in Latvian gambling services through Triobet, which is a previous Nordic Gaming Group brand company that was obtained in 2012. It has managed to acquire a sturdy following in Eastern European gambling markets.
Latvia in Baltic state has acquired great status for having a tough set of anti-online betting laws and its fight against global operators. Blacklist which is an operator for Latvia has announced to have over 400 European operators. The IAUI has restricted various banking procedures and has limited payments to sites that are considered illegal. The various Betsson AB brands operate in various licensed European gambling markets of Malta, UK, Ireland, Italy, Georgia, Denmark and Estonia. The Betsson operators announced they were happy that their brands and services had been accepted by the IAUI. They also announced they were looking forward to entering the Latvian market under licensed situations.
UlrikBengtsson who is the Betsson President and CEO also commented on the issue and stated that when obsolete legal structures and outdated monopoles are destroyed, there is a likelihood that various favorable conditions for future profitable development will be created. He also stated that they were looking forward to increase the percentage of sustainable revenue by taking part in local licensing protocols at the same time developing strong companies in the local and restricted markets.
