Dog Owners are not happy with Foley’s Greyhound Racing support

A rally in Sydney’s inner west that was to be held on Sunday is what Laurina and Michael Chilcot had purposefully hoped would help celebrate the bad decision by Premier Mike Baird on the basis of banning greyhound racing. However, the two joined 150 people in expressing their anger at Luke Foley who is the Labor leader. The Labor leader is trying to oppose the banning of greyhound is NSW. Michael Chilcott said that the leader was supporting the wrong side. Atlas is the current dog that the couple has adopted among 15 others. Laurinna Chilcott said that saving dogs will bring about an impact in banning of greyhound racing.

She added that the banning of greyhound racing brought about tremendous joy to her and her husband. MP Mehreen Faruqi accused Mr. Foley of connecting the issue between the working class and other sections of the community in a rally held in a park in Newton, state Greens. She accused Labor of using the industry’s workers as political pawns. There are 24 race tracks that have been marked for closure before the government decided to ban greyhound racing earlier in the month. The industry is currently facing great financial issues according to Faruqi. She stated that the greyhound racing sport was on the verge of collapse and she and Mike Baird had completely agreed on that.

Mr. Foley said that banning greyhound racing will affect a lot of people in the long run. There will be a discussion on the banning of greyhound racing in NSW from July next year and it will be held on August 2. The banning of the sport is also been supported by the ACT government. Mr. Foley was accused by Naremburn a resident from Kylie Field and a greyhound owner of opposing the banning of greyhound racing to get access to marginal votes. She said that he was being unfair since the dogs actually needed their support. She angrily commented saying that the industry was not capable of reforming and they had wasted most of their time supporting Labor’s party.

Premier was congratulated for supporting the ban by one of the greyhound owners, Mel O’ Sullivan. He added that those supporting the ban recognized the efforts put forth to bring the house in order.
