Atlético Madrid or “Los Colchonerous” as it’s referred by its nickname is schedule to end its partnership with sponsors Azerbaijan and adopt a new sponsor the Plus500. The top flight club based in Madrid Spain and third finishers at the previous La Liga season will adopt the new logo on their jersey come the beginning of 2015/2016 season. The prominent Spanish powerhouse is well known in producing eye goal strikers such as Fernado Torres, Radamel Falcao, Sergio Aguero and Chelsea ace Diego Costa.
The 2013/14 La Liga champions will now be marketing Plus500 services with posters pinned all around their stadium. Plus500 a trading platform that is based in Israel will be adopted by iGaming technology providers Playtech and this would provide a room for more income generation.
The deal between the two teams first sees the platforms being advertised via media and banners that would be placed in the stadium. It also includes the Plus500 logo on Atlético’s jerseys both home and away and will be featured in all leagues the team plays including EUFA Champions league. Another thing is that Plus500 will have naming rights at the stadium and will also be involved in other financial benefits such as host sponsorship.
Chief Executive Officer of Plus500 Gal Haber claimed that it was with honor and pleasure that his company is in a position of striking a deal with a big club such as Atlético Madrid, a deal that would go for at least 2 years and believed that this would go on beyond the two years. He added that Atlético Madrid would be the best club to partner with as the club is based in Europe where the companies fan base is at a high degree.
Chief Executive Officer of Atlético Madrid Miguel Angel Gil Marin commented on the deal too by saying that he was excited about striking a deal with Plus500 a company that is on the verge of growing internationally. He added that it was their hope that the deal will be a new beginning between the two as they initiate a long journey full of prospects together.
