Even though the Vikings parking lot is filled with plenty of nice vehicles, the NFL Player Moritz Boehringer’s vehicle is not among them. Moritz Boehringer apparently does not own a vehicle and therefore he walks to his training ground every day. . This is not because he cannot afford one but the German wide receiver has decided he does not require one. The player walks to Vikings practice facility every day. Moritz Boehringer is an NFL player who lives three miles away from the practice set up thus he covers approximately six miles every day. This has been equated to walking across 105 football fields daily. He therefore walks for one hour daily; however his girlfriend thinks he is crazy. He made this confession in an interview with Transferwise where he mentioned that his girlfriend did not understand why he chose to walk to work.
He gave his reasons for not owning a car as the mere fact that he wants to save up money. He will not however be able to enjoy his walks in the winter in Minnesota. His idea of saving money is pretty logical since his rookie contract with the Vikings is only $150,000 in guaranteed amount. Having a car would mean sacrificing a third of that amount. However, Boehringer is lucky since his walk is to be lessened since the Vikings are taking up training at a camp in Mankato. This means that he will only have to walk from m his dormitory to the the practice field which is a shorter distance. When the camp is over the NFL Player will go back to walking to the Vikings facility unless he buys a vehicle.
The interview with Boehringer is available online.
