Increased online betting evident in Denmark

Reports from the Spillemyndigheden the main betting regulatory body of Denmark have indicated that there has been a magical increase in the revenue emanating from online gaming market in the third quarter of 2015. This radical rise in the nation could set a good footprint for those other nations seeking to have regulated betting in their territories.

This was followed by an increase in the total gross gaming income to DDK890 million as compared to DDK760 million that was recorded in the Q3 of 2014. It also rose up from DDK805 million that was recorded in the Q2 of this year.

Nonetheless, a decrease in the total gross gaming income from the gaming machine as Q3 recorded DDK385 million which went down from DDK415 million that was recorded in Q2 of 2015. However, it was far much higher than the DDK370 million that was overseen in Q3 of 2014.

There was a record broken by the land-based casino incomes that shot from DDK80 million in Q3 of 2014 to record at DKK95 million in Q3 of 2015. This was the most successive increase ever experienced since 2012.

Spillemyndigheden claimed that the performance experienced in the Q3 of this year will play a major role as the firm eyes on a possible half a billion rise to the total gross. Currently, the total gross is at DDK8.4 billion without the Q4. Last year’s total gross was recorded at DDK7.8 billion.
