Footgolf is now available for the pitch and putt course which is located at the Arrowe Park, with particularly improved holes and t- shirts that are conveniently altered to represent the recent games.  There have also been some alterations in the golf holes so that they can easily accommodate footballs. The footgolf players are also aiming to finish their game in the 9 to 18 holes, in a few shots, within a very short period of playing. Compared to traditional golf holes, the footgolf holes are much shorter, with an average length of 100 yards.

However, they are not trying to do away with the traditional golf holes, they will be merged together, but the footgolf holes will have new mats and t- shirt marks being fitted into larger hole. The mixture of the two games have attracted a wide pool of potential players, both interested in the traditional golf and  the footgolf, though this hybrid set of games have only being available in Liverpool and Cheshire. The cabinet member for Leisure and culture, Cllr Chris Meaden stated that footgolf is an upcoming sport that attracts a wide array of people who travel to use the golf courses.

The cabinet member also said that they are been very careful to ensure that the municipal resources are not being negatively affected, and they have therefore come up with ways to make sure the resources are not affected. He also pledged that by 2020, the people will be able to have a chance in leisure and cultural occasions, footgolf is among the new sports that they will be planning in having around. Players will be able to play from 8 am to 6pm on weekdays, and from 7 am to 6pm during weekends.s.

Adults will be able to play for 5 euros, while juniors will play fir 3 euros, for every 9 holes. Families will have special packages set aside for them.

The men’s basketball team captain was expelled from Ivy League School after the University conducted a sexual misconduct allegation.

A source close to the accused, Jack Montague revealed that that the captain had a consensual sexual relationship with a fellow student in 2014. One year later, Montague was summoned to appear before the University of Yale’s committee regarding the sexual misconduct, leading to his expulsion months later.

However, the university has not confirmed these details due to confidentiality. On the other hand, Montague has not played for the basketball for over five decades.

A university statement said that any Information regarding withdrawal of a student from the university is maintained as part of the student’s confidential record and that the university does not have distinctions in treating any confidential matter different even if you are withdrawn from the school. Bottom line is all students’ educational matters, be it disciplinary matters or educational performance, are considered private between Yale and the student. As such, the university will not disclose any information concerning the student to the public.

Jim Montague, the father of Montague said that his son has been expelled from Yale University and have received strict orders from their lawyer not to comment on the matter. However, he cannot wait to share the other side of the story.

The allegations against Jack Montague   generated a recent protest at the university, calling for greater awareness and actions on matters concerning sexual assault.

A childhood friend of Montague, Blake Thomson told the media that Montague’s goal at the moment is to clear his name.

On Monday during the final of Algarve Cup, Canada won against 2-1 over Brazil. Shelina Zadorsky scored at the 60th minute, after converting Ashley Lawrence’s corner kick.

Zadorsky said that she was overwhelmed to get the first goal and she thinks that is what boosted her team’s momentum. She also said that it was a perfect ball from Ashley since she was close to the post and she is proud of the whole team for winning the cup.

A year later after being caught in the live baiting investigation, humiliated greyhound racing trainers decided to speak out about their treatment.

Ron Ball, a legendarygreyhound racing trainer from Prenzelu at the South west of Brisbane is one of the 22 trainers who were given a warning by Racing Queensland. About 37 people were charged of animal brutality.

Mr Ball acknowledged that he was testing his dogs in February 2015 at Tom Noble’s property in South west Brisbane, where surveillance cameras were able to record a great number of live baiting incidents but Mr Ball claims not having seen them.

Mr Ball said he did not do anything wrong and he did not see anything wrong being done. He challenged the determination of the Racing Queensland Racing against him that led to his removal from the industry’s prestigious Greyhound Hall of Fame. Earlier this year, a decision was made to reduce his life ban to at least 10 years. However, Ball intends to take the case to the supreme court so that his name may be cleared.

“The whole issue has been distractive physically, mentally and financially. It has cost me approximately $140,000 and have received no income for 12 months and barred from every greyhound racetrack in Queensland. Not to mention, your character is being tarnished in the industry.”

91 year old Gatti also appealed for his life ban to be reduced to 10 years. Gatti said the industry ban has had a significant impact on him as long as finances are concerned.

Mr Gatti said, “ I used to get some good money from the dogs and now I am getting nothing. Instead, they are costing me.”

“ I have no money at all and to tell you the truth, I am unable to even pay my bills.”

Mark Townend, the chief executive officer of RSPCA Queensland said that the officers will continue to work with the police to investigate as well as penalize offenders.

$6million is the amount set aside for the proposed greyhound racing tract at Murray Bridge in South Australia by the Development Assessment commission. The facility will be located on 21 hectare site on the town’s borders and will include viewing facilities, 620-metre track, dining facilities, function room with a bar, car parking area, kitchen as well as toilets.

The construction is set to start in the middle of the year if the plans will be approved, with raising beginning in July 2017. However, the chief executive officer of RSPCA Tim Vasudeva is not in agreement of the plan to go on until the Greyhound racing community in South Australia (GRSA) explain how they are to improve on the welfare of the dogs.

“The GRSA have not agreed to provide the information requested by RSPCA regarding the amount of money they intend to invest in order to improve the dog’s outcomes and the timeframes or their targets related to these plans,” he said.

“ Besides that, they have also declined t produce historical data concerning the number of greyhounds raced, born, retired, rehomed or killed over the recent years.”

There is an online petition with almost 35,000 signature is circulating against the proposal of the new racing tack, citing “animal welfare concerns.”

Nonetheless, the chair of GRSA, Mr Michael Fabbro said that the new track will be replacing the existing track and is safer for the dogs. The local council also supports the proposal saying that it will boost job opportunities.
