Remember the 2014 NBA finals, when Miami Heat lost to the San Antonio Spurs? Then this man, Ray Allen, should be no stranger to you. Despite him being out of the NBA court for two years, he seems to be eyeing the two most recent NBA Champions, Golden State Warriors and Cavaliers.
The Golden State Warriors have been keen to add the 10-time NBA All-Star to their roster for the past two years. The Warriors have recently landed the former MVP Kevin Durant to go along with their All-NBA players Stephen Curry. They have also signed Draymond Greens and Klay Thompson in a bid to further fortify their roster. Zaza Pachulia and David West, free agents, center and forward respectively, have also been signed in; however, the warriors seem not to have had enough as they are interested to sign in Ray Allen.
Important to note is the fact that despite of Allen being off the court for the last two seasons, he has not filed retirement papers with the league office, neither has he commented publicly of his desire to continue playing, he confirmed that he was far from retiring, he said this last August to Dom Amore of the Hartford Courant, further confirming that in case something came to the table he would take a keen look at it.
Regardless of him being out of the season for the last two years, he has maintained a remarkable shape throughout and taking into consideration his nutrition. He even opened an organic fast-food eatery last February. Thus if the teams confirm on his fitness and form then we would definitely see him on the NBA court once again.
