The NFL free agency has officially begun. This means that there is a lot of news to catch up on as players as well as team begin to sign contracts. The salary cap also continues to grow and so are the contracts. On Thursday, the NFL free agency period was quite slow compared to the first day but some of the big player names were signed .

Record-breakingdeals are also being signed. For instance, the Philadelphia Eagles have made a pair of trades, Houston Texans have selected Brock Osweiler as quarterback and Lamar Miller as a running back.

In addition to that, Jermaine Kearse, Cedric Thornton, JermonBushrod and Mohamed Sanu are some of the players that signed new contracts on Thursday. The day also saw other players like Bruce Irvin, KelechiOsemele and Malik Jackson change teams.

Oakland Raiders are known to be spenders when it comes to free agency but most of their movers in the previous years have been considered as desperate. However, after they had a productive season last year, they placed together competitive season and have suddenly become an ultimate destination for free agent players.

On the other hand, Colin Kaepernick has shown interest in playing for the Browns. As such, the 49ers have been in talks with Cleveland concerning the trade. It was expected that the Browns will release quarterback JohnyManziel this week but the move has not been announced. If Kaepernick leaves for Browns, the 49ers are expected to go for Robert Griffin III.
