Tennis Principles do not apply to Novak Djokovic

Tennis Principles do not apply to Novak Djokovic

During the last match, Murray soldiered on the match and was ahead of Novak a great deal. Novak didn’t seem to be bothered by Murray leading the first round because he knew where he would deploy his non explainable tactics. Murray thought he would take the cup as he was certain he would beat Novak out of his own game like he did in Rome. But Murray lost it all during the first service in the second set. He made a few errors which resulted to his defeat. From that point, his service became very poor. But Novak knew how and where to apply his tactic in his game. He consecutively slammed Murray to the fourth set. Although the atmosphere of defeat had already been instilled in Murray, he still tried fighting back.

Novak has a close tendency to let his opponents take the first matches and later shows that he was just trying to comprehend their game. He leads by playing softly and tightly until the mood is instilled in the court. He then starts his sprints and start slamming his opponents leaving them ajar. This makes him the protagonist in every game. Novak plays his game pulling the opponent to the baseline of one side and then abruptly re directs the ball to the other side. The opponent gives up knowing that he can’t reach the ball.

In the history of the tennis as a game, no one has ever enchanted four slams as Novak did. This makes him the best man there is in the game positioning him high in the rank. Serena Williams tried to fulfill her pursuit to proof that she could be on the same boat as Djokovic but she was unable because the rules Novak used or rather uses simply couldn’t and can’t be applied by anyone else. Serena was once the world tennis record breaker but it seems that the title shifted to someone else. It is thus predictable that Djokovic will win any game. He may win the full Grand Slam or come out with a gold medal in Rio. Though there isn’t any logistic in that, it has already been proven that principles of tennis don’t apply to Novak Djokovic.

Venus decided not to join her sister last year but offered support from a distance. She watched anxiously as her sister played from home and her sister’s reception at Indian Wells softened her attitude in returning to the desert. It is at that point that she realized what it meant to be a big sister. It meant doing things first and paving way for Serena, something she is proud of and Serena paved the way for her, she said.

Serena told the reporters during the pre-tournament press conference that they are very excited to be at Indian Wells and she is also excited for her sister and she hopes that Venus may have the same experience she had last year as it is the only reason why she was able to come back.

“It is really amazing to be here because this somehow where everything begun for us. As I have mentioned earlier, that was such a big event for us in our careers. I remember as if it were yesterday when we both played here for the qualifiers back in 1997-1998. It has just been a place that has meant a lot to us for a long time and we just had that one memory that we wanted to get rid of.”

Novak Djokovic overcomes Roger Federer to win his 10th Major

Novak Djokovic overcomes Roger Federer to win his 10th Major

News of Serena Williams failing to make to the 2015 U.S Open finals was roaming across the globe and may forgot about the anticipating men’s final pitying Federer and Djokovic. The final match of the men’s title saw Djokovic beating Federer 6-4, 5-7, 6-4, and 6-4 to clinch the title. The match was pushed three hours behind due to rain. Djokovic was pleased with the win and claimed that his efforts have produced enticing results this year.

The sweltering heat of the day didn’t favor Federer at all as co-coach Severin Luthi claimed that he would have preferred a hotter weather where the ball could move fast. Djokovic also could be seen uncomfortable with the weather. Federer was later to claim that he made many mistakes that cost him the title and having not played such an offensive game in the campaign, he wasn’t prepared to undertake it.

The year ends in style for Djokovic who recorded a 26-1 win of major titles. The only loss came during the French open when he went down to Stan Wawrinka. If he could have scooped the French Open title, Novak could have broken the record set by Australian Rod Laver in 1969 and become the most successful ATP player in History.

The win gives Novak a 10th slam win with three titles to his name this season a trend that he achieved in 2011. The top four ATP men are fighting hard to break the 17 awards record set by Federer and it seems that Novak can achieve this if he wins four more titles with Nadal’s career demising day in day out.

Djokovic claimed that he would incorporate the same style he did this year which saw him scoop three titles and is now focused in surpassing Federer with his 17 major titles. Federer has never lost of late with his only loss dating back during the Wimbledon in a four set match that Djokovic won. His SABR-sneak attack by Roger- technique has been instrumental to his achievements. Despite thrashing Djokovic during the Cincinnati court events, Federer has seen a disappointing grand slam loss extending to seven loses out of eight with three years trial of scooping any grand major foreseen.

Serena Slam weekend: Serena wins title at Wimbledon

On Saturday, Serena Williams made history after defeating Garbine Muguruza in southwest London. Muguruza, who is a promising Spaniard lost 6-4 6-4 to Williams, giving Williams four straight major wins for the second time in her career.

“It is unbelievable that I am standing here with another Serena slam.” Williams told the crowd, emulating her 2002-2003 achievement.

Given that Serena is a three-time defending champion and without a doubt if she excels in September at the US Open, she will become the first player in history to achieve the calendar-year grand slam since Steffi Graf in 1988.

At 33, Serena beats Martina Navratilova as the oldest woman to win grand slam in the Open Era by four weeks.

21-year-old Muguruza, who was appearing on the grand slam final for the first time, wept in her chair after defeat. However, she should not feel very disappointed. This is because; it is very rare for Serena to lose at the grand slam.

However, Muguruza did not walk away submissively. In fact, she made matters fascinating after losing 5-1 in the second, winning a great number of new fans with her outstanding performance at the tennis’ grandest arena.

“I would like to congratulate Serena for showing us that is the world’s No 1,” Muguruza said.

Even though Muguruza began stronger, she did not play like it due to nervousness.

On the contrary, on the first game, Williams struck 3 of her 8 double faults and the delight of those gathered at the Centre court shattered her. In fact, Williams was troubled by Muguruza’s powerful serve and groundstrokes in early stages.

However, it was a matter of games before Williams awoke her energy as she was determined to do better than last year.

“Garbine played so well,” Williams said. “It did not occur to me that the game was over because she was fighting so hard.”

After the game, the two hugged at the net, Williams bobbled in happiness as she approached her chair.
